Coverage and timing

Where does Peylod deliver?
Southern California: San Diego County, Temecula and the Inland Empire, Orange County and Los Angeles County. Both the pickup and the delivery address have to be inside that area. We are adding areas as the network grows.
What are the cutoff times?
Three same-day waves. Book by 9:00 AM for delivery by 3:00 PM, by 12:00 PM for 6:00 PM, and by 3:00 PM for 9:00 PM. Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM we can still take local-zone shipments for delivery by 9:00 PM.
What if I book after the cutoff?
You can still ship. Rush moves your package outside the regular waves, and anything booked late in a local zone can often go the same evening. Otherwise your shipment goes out on the first wave the next morning.
What are your hours?
7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.

Packages and pricing

How is the price calculated?
Two things: the weight class of your package and the zone between your two ZIP codes. That is the whole price. We do not charge by mileage and there is no fuel surcharge.
What are the weight limits?
Envelope or XS up to 2 lb, Small up to 10 lb, Medium up to 25 lb, Large up to 50 lb. Anything over 50 lb or unusually bulky is quoted by hand: send the dimensions through the contact form and we reply with a price.
Can I send several boxes at once?
Yes. Boxes going to the same address are cheaper together: the first box is charged at the normal rate and each additional box is an add-on of $5 for XS, $7 for Small, $10 for Medium and $15 for Large.
What if my package weighs more than I said?
We re-weigh and re-measure at the depot. If it moves into a different class, the charge is adjusted automatically and you get a receipt showing the change.

Tracking and delivery

How do I track a package?
Enter your Peylod tracking number on the tracking page. You see every scan: pickup, both depots, out for delivery and the final handoff.
What proof of delivery do I get?
A photo at the delivery point and the recipient's name. A signature is captured when you ask for it. All of it lands in your email and stays in your shipment history.
What happens if nobody is there?
The driver records a failed attempt with the reason and a photo, and it shows in your tracking. You get an email, and dispatch contacts you to arrange the next attempt.

Accounts and billing

Do I need an account to get a price?
No. The quote form on the homepage gives you a price and a delivery window with no registration. You need an account to book, so we have somewhere to send the label and the tracking.
How do I pay?
With a card saved securely to your account. Peylod never stores card numbers; payments run through our payment processor. Business accounts can be invoiced monthly.
Do you offer business rates?
Yes. Volume discounts start at 25 shipments a week and increase from there, and a daily scheduled pickup is free at that level. See the business page for the tiers.
What can I not ship?
Hazardous materials, illegal items, live animals, and anything requiring temperature control or special handling. The full prohibited-items list is published with our terms of service.
How do claims work?
Every shipment carries a standard liability allowance, and you can add declared-value protection at checkout. If something is damaged or missing, send us the tracking number and photos through the contact form, choosing "A claim or a damaged package" as the subject. The full claims policy is published with our terms of service.
